Roadmap

What is it?

The Starship Project is a combination of software, that will bring your starship/spaceship-set to life and make it fully interactive. It´s original goal is to drive orchestrated multiroom-scenarios for groups or individuals (e.g. in "escape" rooms). Though, it can be used in smaller projects, as a bridge simulator alone or for LARP or theatre plays.

The central program includes a "main screen", a variety of bridge-stations and a game master as well as network-methods to control and interact with your environment.

What does this mean?

The Starship Project allows for you to experience a variety of adventures, as a bridge officer, as target of an evil AI, space pirate, explorer and practically whatever you can think of. Over time, we will try to create scenario modules / missions and whole scenarios, that can be played right away.

What does this really mean?

As this is more of a framework than a game, it´s power lies in being modified to support your environment and your scenarios.

To be able to get the best experience, you´d have to build a starship interior consisting of multiple rooms and set up a number of computers, microcomputers, microphones, speakers, the network, projectors and so on. Then you need the infrastructure-devices (of your choice), meaning the power- and data-infrastructure (starship-cables and connection-blocks) as well as things like an "engine", "computercore" etc...

Yes, you could make many of these things out of cardboard and older (but not too old) laptops.
